About the Author

My name is Kelsy Vincent. I am 29 years old, a mother to a beautiful 7-year-old girl and a long-time employee of Shipwreck Beads. I have been passionate about beads and beading and all things crafty for as long as I can remember.  I consider myself a Jill of All Trades when it comes to crafts, there is nothing I won’t try at least once.

When I was a little girl, I recall being taken to Shipwreck for the first time by my mother.  It was just a little hole-in-the-wall shop.  My mom bought my brother and I a ton of wooden beads because we were going on a road trip and she wanted to keep us entertained, quiet and not fighting.  Well, it worked.  It also fueled a creative fire in me that remains to this day.

In addition to jewelry making, I also have a bit of a love affair with paper.  Scrapbooking, that is.  There is something soothing about glue under your nails and little bits of paper everywhere.

I try to challenge myself by finding creative ways to mix my favorite crafts together. Whether its adding beads to a scrapbooking layout or creating delicate jewelry with scrapbooking supplies. I always have a project (or several) in the works.

While I have done a little personal blogging in the past, I am happy to be writing here as my official, full-time gig! If you have any questions about myself, the blog or anything you see here, please email me at

If you would like to see sneak peaks of new projects, follow me on Instagram and look for the hashtag #shipwreckbeads!

  1. Hi Kelsy! I was so excited to see your comment on my blog. I love Shipwreck beads! My sister and I have been there several times. Have a great day!

    • I have to admit, I just fan-girled a little bit when I saw your comment. I have been a huge fan of yours for a long time! The next time you come into the store, I would love to meet you and give you a tour!

  2. Beautiful. Can another glue be used instead of e6000? Can a Bezel be glued to a pebel instead of wrapping?

    Thank you,
